3 years ago I wrote a winning entry to the @uniofsurrey Carol Composition Competiton 2021 whilst I was studying there as a music student with @surreydmm !

3 years on it is still on of my favourite pieces of music I have ever written and I am so so proud of it! I am still so honoured to have been declared a/the winner of this competition! Choral music has since become one of my absolute obsessions both in listening and writing!

Have met up with some incredible friends over this weekend!! I had the most incredible pleasure meeting up with @rossbaillie_eames and @odysseasmusic

Having grown up feeling alone and not having many friends, to having such incredibles friends like these, it truly feels like I am defying my past and creating what I always knew I could - amazing friendships with amazing people. In true fashion of the times, I really do feel like I am defying Gravity!! 🧙‍♀️

I attended and incredible event this evening hosted by @ivorsacademy and @meta at the Instagram HQ In London!

I also had the incredible privilege of meeting the incredibly talented singer/songwriter @ashainewhite and the Legendary Choral composer and a instagram personality @ralphallwood !! They gave an truly brilliant and engaging panel and it was a pleasure to speak to them personally!

It’s events like these that make doing what I do so exciting and fulfilling! I also saw some old faces which was wonderful to see again @leti_music!! (sorry we didn’t manage to grab a picture)!

What an unbelievable evening!! Cannot wait to put what I’ve learned into action and to hope many more collaborations come from tonight!

What an amazing day! I have absolutely loved my time at Surrey and I cannot believe I have finally graduated! I am beyond proud and will miss the University of Surrey with all my heart! I may even return to do my Masters there because I love it so much! Thank for my wonderful family for your support and those who I have worked with who have believed in me!
